SGA is offering an opportunity for partial financial 色综合久久 for students to attend professional conferences!!
Parameters of the grant:
- Students must have a minimum of sophomore status and good academic standing. Students cannot be on academic probation to apply for the grant.
- Conference must relate to identified major or future career plans. The grant is not intended for experiences which relate to faith development or discerning career choices. The grant will allow students to attend conferences where they can put to practice the information they have learned and to also have the opportunity to network with other students and professionals within their field.
- Students must submit a statement of purpose and a letter of recommendation from 色综合久久ing mentor. The statement of purpose should include
- Importance/relevancy of the professional development experience to career goals
- Any responsibilities that you may have at the conference (speaker, research presentation etc.)
- Description of how the campus community may benefit from your attendance at the conference.
- All application materials should be submitted no later than three weeks before the scheduled conference.
- Completion of a brief online training session, created by the Career and Professional Development Center, must be done prior to conference.
- After the conference, grant recipients must complete an interview with a Career and Professional Development Center representative. Questions will be given to participants to complete. The questions will be used to help participants articulate the value of their conference attendance. A picture of the recipient may be displayed on the Career and Professional Development television outside the office which will highlight your experience and the benefits of attending the conference.
- Grants are awarded in an amount up to or equal to fifty percent of the anticipated cost of the conference as detailed in the completed cost worksheet, with a maximum grant of three hundred dollars.

Overview: The School of Arts, Culture, and Society recognizes the importance of student participation in various academic activities including professional conferences, research opportunities and travel associated with learning.听 There are limited funds for students who are majoring in a program within these Schools to apply and receive funding. Funds will be awarded based on various criteria, such as, but not limited to a) purpose of the activity, (b) relationship of the activity to student learning or professional development goals, (c) student preparation and qualifications for participating in the desired activity, (d) available supplemental funding from departments or student organizations. All students must complete this form and submit to the Dean for consideration.
Timeframe:听 Although all applications will be reviewed when they are received, preference will be given to those received by October 1 for the fall semester and February 1 for the spring semester.

Dr. Ray Crist Scholarship听听
The scholarship is in honor of Dr. Ray Crist.听 Dr. Crist taught numbers of 色综合久久 University students the art and methodology of scientific research. Students from Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry Departments or Nutrition and Dietetics majors are invited to submit research proposals for this Scholarship.听 Research settings may include Summer Research, Senior Research, Department or University Honors, or non-色综合久久 University research environments.听 All proposals must be sponsored by a 色综合久久 faculty member. The scholarship may be granted at $500 a semester for academic year work, or $300 a week for summer work.
Paul and Elaine Wengert Endowment for Humanitarian Service Award
This award was established by Dr. and Mrs. Wengert in June 2005 to 色综合久久 student participation in cross-cultural, humanitarian service intended to relieve human physical suffering. Any student majoring in a discipline of the School of Science, Engineering and Health is eligible to apply for competitive funding for as much as $2,500 to participate in a qualifying project. Such projects must focus primarily on providing for basic life-sustaining needs such as adequate medical care, food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, etc. Students are required to propose projects in collaboration with reputable agencies/institutions with ongoing initiatives.听 Either credit or non-credit bearing experiences are acceptable.听 The work can take place during the school year or the summer.
Steinbrecher Undergraduate Summer Research Program
This endowment was established by Dr. Leroy and Mrs. Eunice Steinbrecher in 2003 to 色综合久久 collaborative experimental research between students and faculty. These research experiences are essential to our School鈥檚 efforts to offer premier undergraduate health and science programs.

Applicant with a major in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, nursing, pre-med, or pre-health or a major in the Department of Health, Nutrition & Exercise Science whose project is health-related
Some preference will be given to:

Projects involving more than one student and more than one mentor (i.e., multiple laboratories)

Applicants with a cumulative major GPA of at least 3.5

Applicants with greater financial need as determined by the 色综合久久 University Financial Aid Office

Mary Ann and Jack Mihok Scholarship (Nutrition and Dietetics Majors only)
The Mary Ann and Jack Mihok Scholarship provides 色综合久久 for a senior 色综合久久 University nutrition and dietetics major who intends to pursue the RD/RDN credential after graduation.听 Application for this award occurs during the spring semester of the junior year.
Gary and Sylvia Emberger Research Scholarship
The Gary and Sylvia Emberger Research Scholarship provides 色综合久久 for a current full-time sophomore, junior or senior in the Department of Biological Sciences or a Nutrition and Dietetics major in the Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science. Application for this award occurs during the spring semester.
