The Agapé Center’s Department of Service Learning seeks to collaborate with community-based partners in local, national and international settings to address community needs, while providing holistic learning opportunities for students. Through service, participants grow in identity development, gain cultural competence, and develop a lifelong commitment to civic engagement.

Our Center offers weekly outreach opportunities to local nonprofits, regional service trips over academic breaks, and international service trips each summer. Local Outreach听is a student organization that works on a regular, ongoing basis with the Greater Harrisburg area, partnering with organizations that are invested in their communities and working towards holistic, capacity-building efforts.听

Through service, we hope students will experience enriching and challenging growth, which will help to foster learning of oneself, of the needs of others, and of the role that service plays in society through a lens of Christian faith.听
