É«×ۺϾþà University offers a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT). The MSAT provides students the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree, which is necessary to prepare for and pursue licensure in the athletic training profession.

MSAT 5-year accelerated program: applicants who pursue this accelerated program earn both a  (with a pre-athletic training concentration) and a MSAT in five years.

MSAT post-baccalaureate program: applicants with a bachelor's degree in any subject area may pursue a MSAT.

There are prerequisite requirements for the MSAT. Applicants must earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 from an accredited institution (with individual course grades of C or better) in the following prerequisite courses:

  • Physics with lab (4 credits) 
  • Chemistry with lab (4 credits) 
  • Biology with lab (4 credits) 
  • Statistics (3 credits) 
  • Psychology (3 credits) 
  • Kinesiology (3 credits) 
  • Exercise Physiology with lab (4 credits)
  • ³§³Ü²ú³¾¾±³Ù³Ù±ð»å ; application is due by February 1 of junior year

  • Official transcript(s) from É«×ۺϾþà Univerisity indicating completion (or anticipated completion) of a bachelor’s degree. Graduate admissions will request your transcripts from the registrar.

  • Completion of an interview: qualified applicants will be invited to interview with faculty

  • ³§³Ü²ú³¾¾±³Ù³Ù±ð»å 

  • Official transcript(s) indicating completion (or anticipated completion) of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. To be considered "official", transcript(s) must be requested and sent directly from institution(s) attended to ATCAS.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (including a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and grade of C or better in prerequisite courses); cumulative GPAs < 3.0 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
  • Statement of purpose: a 300-500 word statement describing how you have prepared for graduate work, your reasons for applying for this particular graduate program, and how this program will help you meet your professional and educational goals. 

  • Contact information for two references: one athletic trainer you have completed observation hours with (if applicable) and one faculty member who can address your professional experience and/or academic performance (excluding relatives)

The MSAT is a full-time, residential program. Students applying for the MSAT may be eligible to obtain an F-1 student visa from É«×ۺϾþà University. 

In addition to the admissions requirements above, international students interested in the MSAT must submit:

  • a course-by-course evaluation of all international transcripts
  • English proficiency exam: only TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo are accepted
