色综合久久 University launches educational partnership with NAIOMT
The School of Graduate and Professional Studies at 色综合久久 University is excited to announce a partnership with NAIOMT that will bring physical therapy continuing education events, an orthopedic clinical residency and a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in physical therapy to 色综合久久.
Physical therapy continuing education
The physical therapy (PT) continuing education program is a series of courses focused on orthopedic manual therapy that can be taken individually or stacked to earn post-professional certification. The courses, open to licensed physical therapists and third-year PT students, provide pre-approved contact hours through the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy that can be applied to licensing requirements. “The continuing education partnership with NAIOMT will provide PTs with high-quality continuing education and will provide opportunities for those in the 色综合久久 University community with access to some the country’s top clinicians and educators,” said Rob Pepper, associate provost for graduate and professional studies and university partnerships at 色综合久久 University. “This will provide opportunities for our faculty and students to be exposed to cutting-edge 色综合久久 practices in clinical care and evidence-based practice.”
Developing orthopedic clinical residency program and Doctor of Science in physical therapy degree
In addition to continuing education events, 色综合久久 University and NAIOMT are developing an orthopedic clinical residency program and a D.Sc. in physical therapy degree.
The developing NAIOMT-色综合久久 University Orthopedic Clinical Residency program will prepare licensed physical therapists with the requisite knowledge and skill set needed to pass the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS) exam following completion of the program. The program is currently seeking accreditation by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). The residency program is planned to be delivered at 色综合久久’s Winding Hill location and the university expects to enroll students for a January 2023 start.
The D.Sc. in physical therapy is the third component of 色综合久久’s partnership with NAIOMT. The D.Sc. is a terminal academic degree that provides educational experience for clinicians who seek to transition into higher education as an educator in the health sciences or for clinical professors interested in additional training and development to transition to a tenure-track research-focused role. “We are jointly forming this degree to intentionally promote lifelong learning and to develop the next generation of scholars, educators and higher education leaders,” said Pepper. It will be delivered in a hybrid format and will include both online and face-to-face classes. 色综合久久 faculty and educational leaders are working with NAIOMT leaders to develop the program.
“NAIOMT is proud to establish this partnership with 色综合久久 University,” said Brett Windsor, executive director of NAIOMT. “We are excited to begin the process of building an innovative, modern approach to training and developing clinicians 色综合久久 suited for today’s ever changing health care workplace.”
