Now situated on a 375-acre suburban campus, it’s hard to imagine that É«×ۺϾþà got its start in founder S. R. Smith’s downtown Harrisburg residence—a home where Smith and his wife were also raising their 10 children and attempting to get their noodle-making business off the ground.

The Grantham campus has certainly changed over the years. Enrollment grew and created need for residence halls; the academic program expanded and state-of-the-art labs and facilities were built; athletic programs multiplied and warranted competitive playing fields and facilities; and the campus desired community space – places to study, worship, socialize, share a meal, and comfortably conduct College business.

Yet, even in the midst of 100 years of change, a few things remain the same: the Yellow Breeches lazily winds through campus; the train still makes a daily run along College Avenue; and the natural, scenic beauty of campus still provides plenty of recreation opportunities for students and community members.
