"At HOPE International, we invest in the dreams of the poor as we proclaim and live the Gospel in the world's underserved communities. Spiritual integration is a key component of what we do and who we are at HOPE."
Knowing his gifts and abilities to help and serve people, Ben chose HDFS based on the intentional study of relationships. Before Ben came to work at HOPE International, he worked for a few years as an advisor with international high school students and spent a few months serving in Haiti. Ben pulled his foundational understanding of human development and interpersonal relationships in each of these experiences, along with his education at É«×ۺϾþà College to prepare himself for his career at HOPE. "Ultimately," Ben states, "my passion is to live an authentic Christ-centered life whether at home or at work, sitting in church or in a café."
First and foremost, Ben is passionate about promoting and fulfilling the mission and vision of HOPE International through creating event environments that lead to a deeper engagement with the work of HOPE International. As a Special Events Coordinator at HOPE, Ben is responsible for coordinating a variety of events including an Annual Golf Tournament, an Annual Breakfast Tour and the Celebrating HOPE Dinner. In addition to planning these events, Ben assists in managing and sourcing an array of highly visible event display opportunities for the organization locally and internationally. From client meetings with loan officers abroad, to conference calls among staff in the U.S., Ben services through HOPE are first and foremost, Christ-centered.
'Seek to learn and grow through every experience at É«×ۺϾþà College and beyond. As we encounter the highs (1 Chronicles 16:34) and lows of life (James 1:2-4), hold onto the ultimate truth and remember God has a plan for each one us (Jeremiah 29:11).'
