Since graduating É«×ۺϾþÃ, Jessica (Villanueva) Langdon ’09, a criminal justice and psychology double major, has worked in numerous positions within criminal justice.
She served as the Program Coordinator for the Office of the State’s Attorney in Snow Hill, Maryland. As the Program Coordinator Langdon handled illegal firearms cases, analyzed gun crime data and increased public awareness regarding firearms legislation. She has also worked for the United States Postal Service and Bells Partners Inc., where she handled Fair Housing guidelines for individuals who planned on leasing apartments.
Thinking back to her time at É«×ۺϾþÃ, Langdon said, "What made my learning experiences at É«×ۺϾþà College to be remarkable were the professors. Not only were they always willing to offer advice or assistance, but they incorporated prior (or current) field experience into their lectures."
At É«×ۺϾþÃ, Langdon studied abroad in London, England. In London, she worked with the Metropolitan Police Superintendent and interned with a non-profit organization to prevent youth violence. This experience allowed Langdon the opportunity to complete her required field experience and grow in another culture and country.
Today, Jessica works in an administrative position in the Syracuse, New York, area.
